Doctoral Program Enrollment Fee Exemption for Women Researchers

Hiroshima University provides financial support for women researchers who possess a master’s degree, and who are currently not conducting research but wish to resume their research at the University, by exempting them from the enrollment fee when they take and pass the entrance examination for any one of the University’s doctoral programs. 

1. Eligible Applicants

Full-time employees of the Diversity Program’s Lead Organization (Hiroshima University), Collaborating Organizations (Mazda Motor Corporation, Delta Kogyo Co., Ltd., and the International Development Center of Japan), and Member Organizations of the Industry-Academia-Government Council on Promoting Diversity (collectively, “Participating Organizations”) or their spouses/partners are eligible to apply for this enrollment fee exemption.

3. Eligible Enrollment Periods and Application Method

Details regarding the “Doctoral Program Enrollment Fee Exemption for Women Researchers” will be posted in the “News” section on the homepage of this website around early June and mid-November.

4. Application Deadline

Applications must be submitted within the application period for the entrance examination of the graduate school the applicant wishes to apply to.

※Please note that applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

5. Notification of the Application Result

Applicants will be notified of the result of their application prior to the starting date of the admission procedures for the graduate school of which the entrance examination they take and pass.

※If the application for the enrollment fee exemption is not approved, the applicant should pay the enrollment fee during the admission procedures period for the graduate school that they were accepted to.
